Hitchhiker vs. My Probiotic Chocolate Bowl + 4-Panel Cartoon

This week my computer got a hitchhiker. I had to wipe shortcuts, change what felt like dozens of passwords, and stare at blank screens while my brain spun in circles. By the middle of the day, I was tired, frustrated, and hungry.

Building a probiotic yogurt bowl – layering L. reuteri yogurt, kefir, and toppings for a quick gluten-free snack

Instead of just stress-eating in silence, I decided to turn the whole messy moment into something better — a quick probiotic yogurt bowl and a little 4-panel cartoon. Because sometimes the best way through a glitchy day is to make something with your hands… and then create some art about it. The Rescue Bowl (Under 10 Minutes)I used what I already had in the fridge:

How I put it together:

  • L. reuteri yogurt (my current favorite) more about how I make it here
  • A spoonful of Subtillus yogurt (yes, it still looks a bit “yukky” but it’s powerful)
  • A splash of kefir for creaminess – more about Kefir and how to make it here
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Walnuts, raisins, and pumpkin seeds
  • A little melted baker’s semi-sweet chocolate on top for that “I survived” moment – because chocolate fixes everything!

It tasted as comforting as it looked — tangy, slightly sweet, crunchy, and very satisfying. Then Came the Fun Part — Turning It Into a Cartoon. While I ate, I opened Photoshop and drew the whole story as a 4-panel comic. I turned the yogurt into a calm base camp, the blueberries into brave little warriors, and the chocolate drizzle into victory swirls that sent the password monster running.

You can watch the whole process

Why This Matters. It’s such a small thing — just a bowl and a few doodles — but it completely shifted my mood. Creativity has this quiet superpower, especially when life throws tech tantrums (or any other kind of chaos). If you’re ever having one of those days, I highly recommend making something simple and kind to your gut, then giving yourself permission to play with it on paper or screen. It really does help. Have you ever turned a frustrating day into a small creative win?

What’s your favorite “rescue snack” when you need a reset? I’d love to hear in the comments!
